Most women have some element of weakness in their abdominal muscles or pelvic floor after having a baby and the additional challenges that come from sleep deprivation, postural issues, C-section recovery and lingering pregnancy hormones can make getting back to exercise a daunting experience.

Take the stress away by joining one of my post natal exercise classes or by allowing me to design a bespoke programme for you.

Either way, you’ll benefit from expert functional training that will help your body to recover from birth, cope with the demands of motherhood and day-to-day life and ultimately getting back to the sports and activities that you love.

And in my post natal classes you have the added benefit of a supervised children’s corner (with mats and toys) in the same room as you to give you the best chance of getting your workout in.

My MUMFIT specialist postnatal exercise programmes combine appropriate cardio, strength and conditioning work with stretches and releases to support your recovery, to help you regain & progress your fitness post birth and to help your restrengthen your core and pelvic floor muscles. 

And my BOXERCISE® FOR MOMS class combines boxing training (without getting hit!) and exercise in a fun, stress busting session, which is underpinned by the key principles of postnatal recovery.

Suitable from 6 weeks post birth (if you had an uncomplicated vaginal birth) or 10-12 weeks post caesarean, my inclusive programmes will help you to get back into exercising safely and effectively (even if you weren’t particularly active during pregnancy).

TOUGH MUTHA is a more intense and challenging workout for women further down their recovery (typically 6 months + postnatal) and is strictly a moms only session.

Postnatal group exercise

This is the option for you if you:

  • prefer to workout in a group setting with a supervised baby corner
  • want to meet other moms in the local area
  • want a lower cost option with a highly qualified trainer

Cost: £48 for each 6-week term (pro-rated if you join partway through). And you're welcome to trial a single class for £8 first to ensure it’s right for you.

1-2-1 or small group personal training

This is the option for you if you:

  • want to have a bespoke programme designed around your fitness and recovery needs, as well as a postural and mobility assessment, guidance on nutrition & self care and email and phone support outside of the sessions
  • want to workout with a small group of friends and split the cost (either at home or at the Harborne Movement Therapy Clinic on Earl's Court Road)
  • can’t make classes because of existing commitments / lack of childcare
  • have more complex needs that would benefit from continual 1-2-1 attention (noting that I specialise in pelvic floor and “diastasis recti”/abdominal separation recovery).

Cost: £40 per hour for 1-2-1 sessions and £60 per hour if you're sharing a session with up to 6 friends.
