My Boxercise® for moms class combines boxing training (without getting hit!) and exercise in a fun, stress busting session, which is underpinned by the key principles of postnatal recovery.

Join me for a fun & diverse workout, which also enhances sports specific skills like hand-eye coordination, balance and timing.

Plus there's my usual supervised children's corner so you don't need to worry about childcare.

FAQs

Q. Doesn't Boxercise® normally involve lots of running, sit ups, burpees and other things not generally suited to most postnatal women?

A. I've made adaptations to retain the ethos and fun of Boxercise® whilst making this a safe postnatal workout. Plus, there are different options available so you can work at your own level.

Q. How does the supervised children's corner work?

A. Whilst your little one remains your responsibility, there's an extra pair of hands available to help out, along with mats and toys to help keep them entertained. The corner is in the same room as you, so you can see what's going on at all times and you're free to go back and forth as needed. There's also space in the hall for car seats / bouncy chairs / pushchairs so please bring whatever works best for you.

Q. Can I come without my children or if I don't have children at all?

A. Absolutely! An hour to yourself is always a positive and whilst the sessions were designed with postnatal women in mind, they're suitable and open to all.

Q. How much does class cost?

A. Classes are sold in blocks/terms with the price equating to £8 per class, which includes the provision of the supervised children’s corner. You're welcome to just pay £8 for the initial trial, however, before committing to the block. 

Q. Is there a pay as you go option?

A.  Typically not, but if you're keen to join and unable to commit to the full term for any reason, please speak to me and we can discuss if I have any scope to flex around your existing commitments.

Q. What payment methods do you accept?

A. Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer with no associated fees or by card for a small admin fee.

Q. What happens if I can't make a class after buying my block?

A. If you can't attend your timetabled class, you will be offered a chance to make this up in an alternative postnatal class that week, to the extent that a free place exists. (My class timetable can be found here https://femalefitnessmatters.co.uk/class-timetable).

Once purchased a block is non refundable or transferable.

Q. How do I sign up? 

A. An online booking system is in the pipeline, but in the meantime please send an email expressing your interest to femalefitnessmatters@gmail.com  and complete the screening questionnaire at this link
