New Year, new me?

New Year’s resolutions are often focused on weight loss, exercise and “New Year, new me” style goals.

Whilst there’s nothing wrong with having health related goals, there are two points I wanted to draw your attention to today…

Firstly, you’re awesome as you are! It’s perfectly possible to be happy with yourself now and to still work on your health and wellbeing. Don’t put off happiness until you reach some specific point in the future.

The fact that you’re already focusing on your health and wellbeing is a positive to be proud of and every single positive action you take in pursuit of your goal is a success.

Coming from a place of positivity and enjoying the journey will vastly increase your chances of reaching your destination. And if it later turns out that you misjudged your end point, you won’t be discouraged in recalculating your route – your goal was a step in the right direction after all, rather than the be all and end all.

The second thing I wanted to talk about today was why simply cutting calories further and further doesn’t tend to achieve people’s weight loss goals.

I expand on this in the blog article below, so suffice to say here that you should focus on:

Good luck and let me know if I can help in any way.
